Video Games Unplugged using LEGO Materials (for Children entering Grades 1-3)

Level up your LEGO Engineering skills in this video-game inspired experience. Our Play-Well instructors bring your favorite video game characters and experiences to real life. Using LEGO, learn Link’s signature moves to defeat enemies, build mechanisms to make sonic spin and take out Robotnik, and even build go-karts to challenge Mario and friends in a race for the Mushroom Cup. All the fun of a video game adventure without the screen!
Note: Projects will not go home with the children.
 
Bake Your Heart Out with Gabriela! (for children entering Grades 2-6)

If you love mixing, measuring, kneading and creating, then this baking summer camp is for you! Join us as we explore new baking techniques and recipes! We’re getting our hands on cookies, pies, muffins, cakes, breads and pizza too! So, join us as we embark on this culinary adventure, meet and make new friends and enjoy a fun summertime!

Wizard’s Potions and Magic Lab (for children entering Grades 1-5)

Welcome to our lab where science and wizardry combine to create magical experiences! Join on us on this enchanting journey as we create colorful, glowing science potions and spells! You never know what might be brewing in our cauldrons: it can be crystals, or color changing slime, or possibly mystical creatures and bones! We will use balls of electricity that will make our hair rise, learn about forces that help us fly, and even use a bed of nails in case all this science and magic makes us tired! Campers will receive a magical cape, a light up wand, science goggles, and specially designed take homes to help extend learning at home!
 
 
My First Lemonade Stand (for children entering Grades 1-3)

Hot summer days and icy, cold glasses of delicious lemonade were made for each other!  Let’s learn how to make sweet and tangy lemonade at camp-and make money by selling it to your friends and family. Campers will experiment with recipes, create and design flyers, learn how to make change and count your profits. Then, in a showcase finale event, let’s sell, sell, and sell, for a charity your group selects!

They say it‘s the most important meal of the day! Whether you prefer savory or sweet, why not learn to make some of your favorite breakfast dishes?
This 4 day cooking camp covers everything from eggs to breads and pretzels, breakfast treats and healthy breakfast recipes. So, let’s go together on a culinary adventure, meet and make new friends, and enjoy a fun summertime with us!  Note: Items used in this program may contain nuts or gluten or may be processed on shared equipment with nuts or gluten. “Stay curious and keep exploring!” Step into our Mega Wonder Lab and make science come to life, just like your favorite TV show! This STEAM camp has it all: science, art, and challenges combined! Campers will use all types of materials to create wacky solutions, crazy inventions, and fizzing experiments. Campers will have to hold on to their Mad Science Lab Coat and goggles because this camp will blow them away! Students will also bring home their inventions and specially designed take homes to help extend learning at home!
 
Creative Robotics (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Unlock the world of robotics with Creative Robotics, where young engineers will have the opportunity to explore and experiment with a variety of educational robots. Campers will use Jimu robotics kits to explore the exciting realm of building competitive sports robots. Alongside these robots building activities, campers will also participate in a range of fun and engaging activities such as solving treasure mazes, playing sports, performing dance moves, and creating art - all through the use of robots (Dash, Evo, Cubelets, and more). Join us for an unforgettable summer STEM camp experience with endless possibilities!
 
Sew Awesome! (for children entering Grades 1-4)

A stitch in time safes nine! Sewing is one of the skills that could come in handy in life, so why not learn this useful craft during this summer! This one-week camp covers the basics of how to us a needle and thread, and how to sew simple sewing stitches. Creating fun things like stuffed animals, pillows or purses or pouches, and having some play and snack time outside will make this a fun summertime activity!
 
Extra Extra Read All About It! (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Campers will be “spilling” the lemonade and “scooping” the news this summer! Join the staff of our newspaper and develop your time management and writing skills as you learn “who, what, when, where and why.” Our teams of journalists will interview campers, write about local news, voice their opinions in op-ed essays and manage production of their digital publication. A must for aspiring school newspaper writers and editors! Note: Campers should bring an electronic device to camp each day.
 
 
Bash'em Bots using LEGO® Materials (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Design your custom LEGO® bot to take on any challenge. Mix and match chassis designs using wheels,
treads, or walking legs. Combine these with tools like drills, hammers, and battering rams as you refine
your masterpiece by sparring with friends and overcoming obstacles. Apply real-world engineering and
physics concepts to help you bash and crash your way to victory… What fun!!!

Video Game and Game Controller Design (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Are you a storyteller, digital artist, and gamer? Then video game design is the best playground for you to release your creativity! Let’s go behind the screens and learn to create a playable, tablet-friendly video game. You’ll build them from scratch: from background scenery to characters to plot development. Along the way, you’ll pick up basic design concepts and discover how ideas go from paper to screen. Also, we will prototype, design, and test your special video game controllers.
Note: Laptops or Chromebooks should be brought to camp each day for testing game controller devices. Please note that if your child does not have an electronic device, there will only be several backup laptops to share.  
 
Mad Reactions & Explosions (for children entering Grades 1-5)

Let’s get crazy with chemicals and see what happens in our Mad Science lab! Every day campers will have the best responses to our “MAD” reactions as they witness the mysteries of dry ice and mix up colorful explosions, foaming elephant toothpaste, new slime daily, bubbling solutions, sticky polymers, different states of mater, and much, much more! This camp will bring chemistry to life and have children bursting with excitement about science! Campers will receive a Mad Science lab coat, goggles, lab wear, Mad Science Certification and specially designed take homes to help extend learning at home.

 

SocietyCraft: Minecraft Civilization Club (for children entering Grades 6-8)

Participate in the creation of a collaborative, functioning Minecraft society in order to develop computer literacy, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. In this one-week camp, students will study the history of human societies and implement them into their gameplay to better understand cooperation and organization. They’ll learn new methods of overcoming challenges and displaying social awareness to become a better member of their in-game societies and discover the core fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to create awesome builds and contraptions for their game.

Embark on an exciting journey of discovery and innovation with Full STEAM Ahead. Our camp seamlessly blends engineering, computational learning, and creativity, providing an immersive experience that will ignite your passion for STEM. Imagine discovering the magic of graphical programming, experimenting with modular electronics building blocks, and delving into the world of creative robotics and engineering. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish as you create short digital animations and interactive stories, make sensor-activated cars and playful machines and design mini golf games and fun robotics activities.
 
 
My First Food Truck (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Develop your business skills while you create 5-star menus. Before you buy that food truck you will have to “prep” to make it a success! The comprehensive business plan you draft will include a mission statement, marketing, operations, pricing, estimating expenses and raising capital. Your mission statement will also include food themes and menus, identifying target customers, and the perfect location. What a tasty way to develop business savvy!
Note: No food is handled or eaten in class. 
Special Note: Children should bring an electronic device to camp each day.
 
 
Mandalorian Missions using LEGO® Materials (for children entering Grades 3-6)

Master The Way of the Mandalorian in this Star Wars inspired LEGO® Engineering experience. Venture
through the galaxy in your custom gauntlet fighter to rescue Baby Yoda, build grappling hooks to pull
ourselves to safety or rescue an ally from the treacherous Sarlacc Pit. Allow our Play-Well instructor to help get you ready to complete multiple missions all over the galaxy.

Junior Flight School (for children entering Grades 6-8)

Junior Flight School (JFS)- Fly simulators, drones, and let your dreams take flight! In this exciting aviation exploration laboratory, possibilities are bound only by imagination. JFS design and delivered by Milestone C is a groundbreaking summer camp designed as a hands-on aerospace experience for middle school students. Our unique STEM curriculum offers applied engineering and aviation skills as an introduction to flight, drones and aerospace careers. This one-week program, created by leaders at Fortune 500 aerospace corporations and veteran aviators, allow students to learn by doing and sparks early interest & motivation in STEM.
