Cooking and Baking Camps
 
What’s Cooking? (for students entering Grades 3-6)
Let your young chef surprise you this summer with a homemade meal!
This week-long cooking camp features a different menu every day with seasonal and fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow, made from scratch recipes! There's so much to learn and to experience from valuable kitchen skills and techniques, food safety and planning, developing a healthy lifestyle, to enjoying a fabulous meal with peers! So let’s wash our hands, grab an apron, and start cooking and join the fun! Note: Items used in this program may contain nuts or gluten or may be processed on shared equipment with nuts or gluten. Bake My Day! (for students entering Grades 3-6)
Join the growing number of kids who love to bake and have some fun with us at Bake My Day! Kids will learn how to bake like pros as we master the techniques for homemade breads, pies, pizzas, cookies cakes and more! Each day we'll learn a new baking skill from cutting butter into flour for pie crusts, kneading dough for buns and pretzels, melting chocolate over a bain marie for cakes and so on!

Snack Attack! (for students entering Grades 1-3)
The culinary awakening of recent years is not leaving anyone behind! Get ready to learn, cook, eat, play, and create as we connect food and stories in this one- week camp! We’ll dive into books like Dragons Love Tacos, Everybody Bakes Bread, Mei-Mei’s Lucky Birthday Noodle, among others, and connect the stories to foods like dragon delicious guacamole, cornbread, and warm Asian noodles. We also have fun creating some arts and crafts projects with fabrics, yarn, beads, paper and glue, and spend time outdoors at the playground and playing games with chalk, jump ropes, and balls. Mad Science Investigators: Spy Lab
Welcome future Mad Science Investigators! Your mission, if you wish to accept it, is to successfully escape our camp! You will be given spy tools and evidence to gather clues such as prints, bones, and fake blood to gain knowledge in forensic science! Once the mission is complete, campers will receive a special Mad Science Lab coat, goggles, and daily take homes to help extend learning at home! Suitable for all ages!

NASA’s Blast Off Lab
NASA’s Blast off Lab  3! 2! 1! BLAST OFF with our NASA-designed space camp! Explore outer space like a real astronaut! Rockets will be launched, stars and comets will be bursting, planets will be spinning and gravity will be nonexistent! This camp will be one black hole you won’t want to leave! Campers will receive a special Mad Science Lab Coat, goggles, and NASA take homes!

Get ready to dig your hands into MAD giant experiments! This camp will be jam packed with massive, fizzling eruptions and explosions! Testing everything from dry ice to walking on oobleck, getting messy with hydro dipping and ginormous stretchy putty, we will prove science is fun! Campers will receive a special Mad Science Lab coat, goggles, and daily take homes to help extend learning at home!

Knit and Crochet with Gabriela!
 
Fit to Knit! (for students entering Grades 3-6)
Have you always wanted to learn to knit or crochet? Now is the time in this week-long summer camp! Join the excitement of discovering the art of knitting and crocheting and embrace your creativity and experience something new! We’ll be working on fun beginner’s projects to learn the basics. Projects may include scarfs, headbands, pouches, embellishing flip-flops, dolls, pompoms, and much more!  What a great way to relax, while building concentration and gaining confidence!

Lego Camps
 
*Lego camps are a full day and run from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.*
 
*Robotics using the LEGO®WeDo System (for students entering Grades 2-5)
Build and program robots in this introductory class using the LEGO WeDo system. Learn basic programming skills, engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Work in small groups to complete several projects using tilt and motion sensors. This is a great way to prepare young Robotics enthusiasts for our more advanced Robotics program.  Note:  Projects will not go home with children.

In this “glam” program for boys and girls, campers gain knowledge of the fashion industry and develop skills in fashion design, fashion marketing, fashion journalism and branding. Campers explore popular brands, analyze industry trends (e.g., athleisure), design various articles of clothing, define their own brand, outline a layout for their favorite store, explore careers in fashion, and more!

Budding Entrepreneurs
If you love Shark Tank, this empowering camp is for you! Join other intrepid campers and develop a business plan for your own business idea. Campers build confidence "learning by doing" throughout the week and make their pitch presentations on the last day of camp!

My First Lemonade Stand (for students entering Grades 1 -3)
Let's sell lemonade! Young campers become "lemonade entrepreneurs" and learn how to make yummy lemonade and earn money selling it! From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits to experimenting with recipes, campers have fun all week while developing business savvy. Campers launch the lemonade stand on Friday to raise money for a charity they select!

Sitter Safety Program (for students entering Grades 7-10)
 
Sitter Safety
Be the best babysitter you can!  Learn the skills you need to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants.  This two day class will cover infant and toddler child care, emergency situations, behavior, and will include American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid Certification along with Hands only CPR. Students will be required to do an in-service project and will be contacted by the instructor prior to the start of the program with details.  This program is a great “refresher” course for students who have taken the Sitter Safety program in the past. Note: Students must be present both days. There are no makeup classes available.

Action Movie Flix Camp (for students entering Grades 3-7)
Quiet on the set! Adventure awaits you in these high intensity movies, where you’ll use a green screen, camera tricks and special effects to create your own live-action move. Come collaborate to write, act, and direct in this stunt packed movie where you’ll be taught action choreography to thrill the audience!!
 
All flix will be professionally edited and downloadable within a month after camp ends.
Note: Movies become the property of program participants who will then have the right to share online. When registering online, please read and sign the release agreement.

Theatre Arts

Youth Theatre Camp (for students entering grades 4 through 10)
Calling all actors, singers, dancers and stage crew!!! This full day musical theater camp gives students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a full-scale ensemble production including professional sound, lighting, costumes, and sets, concluding with a fully staged production at Weston Intermediate School.  This program is for young performers who are interested in musical theater and children interested in the technical aspects of theater.  This program provides children with a knowledge and appreciation of the theatrical process. Preparation for a production is a team effort and will be a fun experience for all! Auditions take place the first two days of camp.
